Westminster's Missionaries to South Asia

Westminster’s “Mission of the Month” for April is a missionary family to South Asia. Brian and Mandy have served in South Asia through Mission to the World for six years. Currently, they are waiting for their visas to be renewed. This is not something that they are guaranteed, and the process can be frustrating and inconvenient. Please pray that their visas will be granted very soon. They have been waiting for nearly 4 months when they expected the process to take around 10 days! Here is an update directly from Brian and Mandy about what is going on with them and more specific ways that we can pray for them:
Hello WPC brothers and sisters!
It's always good to open with the weather. It's hot here! Not Mississippi summer hot, but the lack of A/C most places (including our apartment) make things rather stuffy and shower-before-bed feeling. Our summer is March-May, which also means the kids just got out of school. Our girls, however, stick with homeschooling until Monsoon season (June). That way, we can take a break when others are back in school, and the weather is much more pleasant. Brian also will persevere with his thesis work throughout the year despite not having many classes left to take. We are hoping this thesis can be a helpful research tool in coming alongside middle-class local CP workers; and we hope Brian's student status gets us a visa. We haven't seen the fruit of either of those hopes yet. We have been living here for over 15 months with uncertain visa status. In total we have been here 6 years (just celebrated with ice cream!) and working (preaching, teaching kids, counseling, singing, playing guitar, baking communion bread, hosting classes) at our city-center CP for nearly 5 years. We hope this year will bring our visa, a space of our own for the church (right now we are renting a meeting-room in a hotel) and Lord willing, much more ice cream.
We are so thankful for your support of us. Yes, thank you for giving sacrificially so we can live here and be in gospel-intentional relationship with so many people. Thank you for praying for us. We love this place and people and yet feel the darkness. Please continue to hope and pray and give towards the light going out (through our lives and our church) to this city for His glory!
Joyfully,
Brian, Mandy, Lydia, Molly and Isabella
