Joy in Your Worst Nightmare
1My son, Langdon, celebrated his fifth birthday yesterday. Every year around this time, I find myself not only reflecting on the life of my own son, but also on the life of a son that I never had a chance to meet.
Just over two years ago, the son of a college friend of mine died in his sleep. Cam was only about a month older than Langdon. This is what most parents would imagine to be their worst nightmare. Many at Westminster were faithful to pray for this young family as they navigated the uncertain waters of life after the death of a child.
Cam's father, Cameron, is a youth pastor in Birmingham. Cameron gave a series of talks reflecting on Cam's death. I encourage listen to and find hope in Cameron's words.
